The mission of TBCRG is to serve as a national resource for African-American churches, by supporting church supplementary programs outside of the great commission, through economic development, health, education, and technology initiatives.
A Few Words About Us
The Black Church Resource Group Inc.
The Black Church Resource Group organization was originally formed as The Black Church Resource Group, Ltd. in the State of Ohio in 2004. The original members of the company, Alphonse D. Matthews, Felicia M. Matthews and E. Anthony Preston, were unsure at that time as to what direction would be taken but wanted to at a minimum have an official entity in place to operate as a formal business. As the company vision and mission became clearer, it was realized that the company would be more of a service to the Black church community rather than a company for profit, because most of the structured programs would be designed to operate within and service churches. Therefore, the members of The Black Church Resource Group, Ltd. agreed to dissolve the company and form The Black Church Resource Group, Inc. a national 501(c)(3) organization exclusively for charitable, religious, and educational purposes.
The Black Church Resource Group, Inc serves as a complete resource for predominately African-American churches by providing tangible answers and solutions to the African-American church population. Services and programs are a combination of innovative web sites, educational and inspirational conferences and symposiums, and structured programs designed to focus on the constituents of the African-American church and their needs, such as Health Awareness, Education, and Technological Support.
