TBCRG Board of Directors
The Board of Directors for TBCRG consists of the following:
- Alphonse D. Matthews serves as a volunteer director on the Board of Directors and serves in the capacity of President. Mr. Matthews has both a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degree in Computer Science and worked for a major corporation for several years, where he gained experience in software development, web development, team leadership, and project management. Mr. Matthews is co-owner of DFM Enterprises, a multifaceted organization that primarily provides technology based services and products to organizations. Mr. Matthews is primarily responsible for company strategy and direction, as well as marketing. Mr. Matthews is also the primary software developer of the various development projects related to DFM Enterprises. In addition to serving his local church home as a Deacon, he also serves as a lay counselor and Sunday school teacher. Mr. Matthews has a passion for empowering the African-American community by working with the African American church. He also served on the Economic Development team of another local non-profit organization and is a Professor in the Computer Science Department at a local university.
- E. Anthony Preston serves as a volunteer director on the Board of Directors and serves in the capacity of Vice-President. Mr. Preston is rich in wisdom of black church history and theology and is also very well connected in the African-American church community. Mr. Preston worked in private industry for several years before retiring. He served as chair of the deacon ministry at his home church where he also teaches Sunday school and in the church Institute. He served as state president of the Ohio Baptist General Convention (OBGC) Laymen’s Auxiliary from 1981 to 1985 and is currently a mission teacher with the Lott Carey Baptist Foreign Mission Convention. He has held a number of other offices and responsibilities with other local, state and national church bodies, particularly the National Baptist Convention, U.S.A., Inc., OBGC, and both the Providence and Eastern Union Baptist Associations in Ohio. He attended Central State University and Eastern Union Bible College and is a graduate of Franklin University and Ashland Theological Seminary. He also serves on a number of other boards and interests in his community.
- Felicia M. Matthews serves as a volunteer director on the Board of Directors and serves in the capacity of Secretary and Treasurer. Mrs. Matthews has both a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degree in Computer Science and worked for a major corporation for several years, where she gained experience in software development, web development, quality engineering, team leadership, and project management. Mrs. Matthews is co-owner of DFM Enterprises, a multifaceted organization that primarily provides technology based services and products to organizations. Mrs. Matthews is primarily responsible for the day-to-day operations of the company, as well as for financial management. Mrs. Matthews has served in various volunteer positions to serve her home church and the community at large and currently is acting treasurer on the board of another local non-profit organization.
- Cedric E. Cage serves as a volunteer director on the Board of Directors. Mr. Cage has both a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degree in Computer Science and worked for a major corporation for several years, where he last served in the capacity of a technical manager. Mr. Cage left corporate America to operate his own business full time, which is focused on providing affordable housing and property management. Mr. Cage has a commitment and passion for working with and building up the African-American church community. He serves as an Elder in his local church home and as evidenced in his sincere heart for the betterment of people, he is committed to serving the community.
- William R. Moss III serves as a volunteer director on the Board of Directors. Mr. Moss has a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and worked for a major corporation for several years before leaving to devote himself more fully to his own company, which focuses on the future of Historically Black Colleges and Universities and those that these institutions impact. Mr. Moss has a passion for serving the African-American community, with specific focus on Education and equipping graduates of Historically Black Colleges and Universities.
